Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate freelance teacher to develop and deliver an engaging course on CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). The ideal candidate will possess expertise in CLIL methodologies, educational best practices, and the specific challenges associated with this innovative approach to language and content teaching.
Course Objectives: The course will cover the following key areas:
• Definition and Overview of CLIL: Understanding its principles and frameworks.
• Application in Germany and Other Countries: Comparative analysis of CLIL implementation across different educational systems.
• Benefits of CLIL: Exploring the advantages for both teachers and students.
• Associated Teaching Methods: Detailed examination of methods like the Grammar Translation Method and their relevance in CLIL.
• Challenges in CLIL Courses: Addressing common issues such as conflicts between subject and language teachers, and the shortage of trained professionals.
• Modern Teaching Methods: Integrating contemporary pedagogical strategies to enhance CLIL delivery.
• Inclusivity in CLIL: Strategies for adapting CLIL for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Evaluation and Assessment: Methods for measuring learning progress and outcomes in CLIL contexts.
Responsibilities:
• Develop course content and materials that are informative, engaging, and suitable for a variety of educators.
• Deliver live sessions, workshops, and assessments leveraging digital platforms.
• Facilitate discussions and provide support to course participants, ensuring a collaborative learning environment.
• Remain updated on the latest research and trends in CLIL and related fields.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in teaching or training educators, particularly in CLIL or related methodologies.
• Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and teaching strategies.
• Familiarity with the educational contexts in Germany and other countries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage course logistics effectively.
